LOTS of different history/science programs offered.
Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents touring theatrical productions for assemblies, combined classrooms, and other large groups. A variety of natural history topics is addressed in these educational and entertaining programs for elementary- and middle school-aged children.
1 800 PUPPET W
Norwin has worked a LOT with Gwen at Pgh Puppetworks. She’s now a mom of twin baby girls and not puppeteering much. It seems magician Dan Kuniak has taken over her bookings, but puppet shows are still offered. I have also had a juggler from these folks that was OUTSTANDING. By the way, Gwen’s Dad is Dennis Bowman.
DOC DIXON the magician
Doc is good about sending out postcards each year advertising his show, and tries to offer something like $50 if you book by _____, etc.
Carrie Kennedy knows ALL about mythology. We used her for a program at Norwin all about mythology and she also discussed how the Percy Jackson series is all tied in with mythology, and how many things have mythological ties. It was fascinating. Program was about $125, I think. She also published a book all about myths, it’s sold thru her or on her site.
THE BIRD GUY–John Lege
John is a favorite of Norwin’s. He loves to share the birds and prices are extremely reasonable for a show for all ages, toddlers to seniors. A+!
Norwin has hosted Steve many times. The flying table trick still amazes me. Good pricing.
THREE RIVERS HOSPICE
1-800-282.0306 (Laura Sokolovic)
Anastasia is a therapy dog, great for kids to read to (reluctant readers) and she dresses in fun outfits. Cost is minimal. Great for all ages.
